Colclough Walled Garden Brochure
The walled garden at Tintern Abbey is a hidden gem in Co. Wexford. Following on from my design of the Walled Garden’s logo, Alan the Project Manager’s asked me for ‘something special’ to convey the richly layered history and beauty of the garden.
Brick work motifs, flying eagles and scans of historical letters aided a ‘layered’ idea to build a sense of history and depth.
Chosen colours complimented the colours of the logo design, while giving an earthy yet contemporary look and feel.
Usability is Everything
Vector maps were created in Illustrator to show visitors how to find the garden within the grounds of Tintern Abbey and also within County Wexford. Photography and scanned images were edited in Photoshop. The completed artwork was laid out in Adobe InDesign for professional print production.
Garden Map Infographic
An ordnance survey map was used as the basis from which to create a new and accurate graphically designed map. Illustrator was my chosen tool to get precise detail with clean scalable lines.
The map is visible to see in the brochure itself. Alternatively you may view a larger version of the map here.
The signage consisted of four different sign designs were produced, each one enabling visitors to meander through the various pathways. They were designed to be consistent with the brochure design and to be easily recognisable as Colclough Walled Garden signage.
The artwork was created in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Scurri Promotional Material
The brochure has six pages, each one designed and laid out for a specific task. The first page shows info graphics in circular format depicting ‘with and without Scurri’ scenarios. Simplicity is key for Scurri in all that they do so it was important that this was reflected in the design of the infographics as well as the overall design of the brochure.
Icons, infographics and artwork were designed in Illustrator and assembled in Adobe InDesign for professional printing.
